A lovely way to experience a little of life in Alexandria as it was in the Early Federal Era. This 1816 Old Town Alexandria Townhouse, elegantly furnished with antiques and modern amenities, is on the Alexandria Historic Registry. Captain McGuire built it just after returning from the War of 1812. Lovely, walled garden.

1 block from King Street, 3/4 mile to the Potomac River, dozens of restaurants & shops close. 15 minute drive, subway, or bus to George Washington’s home at Mount Vernon or to the monuments and museums of Washington DC. 10 minute walk, 1/2 mile, to the King Street Metro Subway Station.
